We are seeking to appoint to the post of Director of Human Resources.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer & Deputy Vice Chancellor, and as a member of the University Leadership Team, the Director of HR will provide inspirational leadership to deliver sustainable, long-term transformation, developing and leading a strategic people and organisational development agenda, which is complimented by innovative approaches to service design and delivery.

Operating with credibility, experience and confidence, the Director of HR will take the lead in defining the future of work at the University of Northampton and guide us through a period of profound change and development. You will work collaboratively with the University Leadership team to extend our capacity and capabilities, optimise opportunities for effectiveness and efficiency, drive unified culture of customer service, and develop a truly inclusive environment that enhances the experience of our students and staff, facilitating the growth or a strong and supportive University community.

We are seeking an exceptional leader with a proven track record of leading Human Resources across large scale, complex organisation.  You don’t need to have experience of Higher Education, and we are keen to hear from senior HR professionals across all sectors. A natural collaborator, you will possess the interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills to succeed in a leading higher education institution. This role will suit professionals who excel at delivering change and transformation to deliver ‘best in class’ service.
